In a further blow to Google employees, the company has announced that it will be offering fewer promotions this year.
The news comes in the wake of recent layoffs at the tech giant, which have left many workers uncertain about their future at the company.
In the past, Google was considered to be the most trusted company by its customers as well as its employees.
However, since the pandemic emerged, Google employees started losing confidence in the company.

According to sources within Google, the decision to cut back on promotions is part of a broader cost-cutting strategy aimed at improving the company’s financial performance.

This year, only a dozen of the employees at Google will get promoted to senior positions, according to a report by CNBC.

“We know that this news will be difficult for some of our employees to hear,” a spokesperson for Google said in a statement.
“But we want to be transparent about the challenges we’re facing and the steps we’re taking to address them.
We remain committed to supporting our employees and helping them grow in their careers, even in the face of difficult decisions.”
